Dianne was a wonderful “find” through a former colleague. She was able to find travel solutions that were far more convenient and affordable than a previous company I had been dealing with. In one case, she saved my organization more than $800 on a trip to Southeast Asia. In addition to the savings, the flight was far better than what was proposed by other agents. She is wonderful to deal with and makes you feel as if you’ve known her for years. I highly recommend working with her and GoWalkabout Travel.
Hi Dianne: I am writing to say a huge “Thanks” for the terrific organization of our trip to New Zealand. The South Island and our trek with Wilson through Abel Tasman Park were simply perfect in every way (with the exception of the sand fly bites). The second week driving ourselves down to Christchurch was equally fine. Both Alex and I feel that your choice of activities, lodgings, et al, was really suited to our tastes. I have no doubt we’ll be using GoWalkabout Travel again. Your service is too good to pass up. Can’t imagine why anyone wants to hassle their way through online holiday bookings. I should also say an extra “bless you” for dealing with my panicked emails early in the planning stage.
Hi Dianne, Just wanted to let you know that we have arrived home safely after travelling around a country where pretty much everything can kill you!. Your connections all worked out splendidly, and after initial doubts about having our own guides on Fraser and in the Daintree, we were totally impressed with them and had a much more complete experience because of it. So thanks very much for all your hard work – dinner at the Aria in Sydney was splendid for Thanksgiving – and if we return to Australia we will be sure to contact you. All the best.
The trip was amazing to Australia and New Zealand. Flights, hotels and tours all went well, and overall we had really good weather. We really enjoyed the variety of accommodations as well, and you had everything so well laid out that all we had to do was connect the dots on our map and arrive on time. Absolutely loved the koala encounter by Cairns as well. Getting to hand-feed the kangaroos was an unexpected bonus! (and Ed got to see crocs in the wild while we were on the rainforest tour, made his whole trip). I would recommend you to anyone traveling there. (Have already bragged you up to several people at work!). Thanks for the great job, and thanks again for the birthday treat!
This is just a brief note to say thanks for your advice and arrangements you made on our behalf. Everything worked out wonderfully. We arrived in Cairns late on Monday after 42 hours of door to door travel, slept well, then woke up on time for our Kuranda train ride, which was fine. The cable ride down was fabulous! Our next day at Michaelmas Quay was very good even though the weather was rainy which disturb the water so that the water wasn’t as clear as likely on a nicer day. None-the-less, we enjoyed what we saw very much — a great choice. The third event was the tour into the Daintree Forest. Fortunately, we were the only ones, so had our driver Ian all to ourselves. He was extremely knowledgeable, very affable and accomodating. We even saw a Casawary by the side of the road (lots of pictures) which apparently happens rarely. We left for Melbourne on the fourth morning staying near Kynton for a week, then on Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast Queensland for a week, and back to Sydney for the last 6 nights. All the domestic flights worked out perfectly. We are so pleased that we came in contact with you and the best decision of our trip. Had we waited to make the tour arrangements after we landed in Cairns, I doubt if we would have seen even half the sites. Thanks again and perhaps we will be in touch again in the future. We would love to go back.

Kia Ora, Dianne. Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our trip. There was not even one little hiccup in our itinerary: each time there was supposed to be someone there to pick us up – there they were with big smiles and greetings. The tours were well organized and interesting. We enjoyed the hotels in each place and would highly recommend the boutique hotels. Each place we stayed in both New Zealand and Australia left us feeling as if we had made some new friends along the way. Doubtful Sound was everything I had imagined and more. We have some absolutely stunning photos of sunrise over one of the arms of the Sound. Australia was beautiful. I enjoyed Sydney more than I thought I would. The opera house is amazing, and we even went to see the Soweto Gospel Chorus perform there the first night we were in the city. Not a bad seat in THAT house. The whole coastal area that we saw – including Fraser Island – is unbelievable and again, everything and more that I thought it would be. So, again, thanks Dianne for making our trip so special. We couldn’t have done it without your help. Ka Kite Ano.
Hello Dianne, I just wanted to say thanks for all the help with my trip to Australia. I know you went the extra mile and it was much appreciated. I’m well aware I would not have had that kind of service if I had gone elsewhere. It was the perfect holiday -everything went very smoothly -no stress once I was on that plane (the map and instructions for L.A. airport made it a breeze to change planes) It was fabulous and made me question why my family ever left! Perth is amazing! (it’s been 45 years -so much has changed -yet much was the same!) I will definitely refer you to others when I have the opportunity.
G’day Dianne. Thank you! You listened well and organized our trip extremely well. Pick up and delivery times were spot on. The hotels were all good to great. The next time we travel to Australia – which will be on our dollar we will fly business class. Too long a trip to not be able to stretch out and sleep. If we hadn’t taken so many people we would have flown business class. The last three days in Sydney went by very quickly. Our city tour guide, Linda was knowledgeable and did an awesome job. Mackie, our tour guide to the Hunter Valley was good. He drove us out to give us a couple of views of the entire Hunter Valley. We sampled wines, cheese, olives. I got carried away and brought home 9 bottles of wine. I just wanted to let you know that we appreciated everything you did to arrange a wonderful trip.
To Dianne, Thanks for doing such a great job in a short time on my flight to Australia at Christmas. You managed to find a ticket that was over $1000 cheaper than anything I could find, as well as get the dates I wanted. Added to this you put me on Qantas for most of the way who provide the fastest jets and best service – e.g. seatback TVs you can select channels on. The seats were better than expected – important for a tall guy like me. The connections were great – I was happy to see a direct Brisbane – LA flight on the way back to Canada – ended up with minimal jet lag for the first time ever. Cheers!
Hi Dianne, Everything went very smoothly, thanks to you and your organizational skills! We really appreciate everything you did for us! The unseasonably hot & humid weather at this time of year around Darwin took a lot out of us, but we enjoyed the trips to Litchfield, Katherine Gorge, & Kakadu very much. We especially loved Port Douglas & Cairns. Your friend Warwick and his food tour were lots of fun – we had a great little group of 6 people and the day was a lot of fun! We brought a number of itchy sand fly bites from the Mangrove walk home with us as souvenirs. Hopefully they will be gone soon! I want to thank you for all the work you & your colleagues did to ensure that we had an enjoyable holiday.
