Dianne and her team helped arrange an amazing trip with accomodations, transportation and site seeing for a short 2 ½ weeks trip to Australia. Snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef out of Port Douglas, visiting  Wildlife Habitat and touring with local natives was amazing. Dianne worked within our budget & timeline and tailored our itinerary to cover our interests.  We had a blast on our trip.  There are no words for the beauty of the landscape in Australia & New Zealand.  Highlights were up-close encounters with a wild wombat and wild kiwis, the Coogee to Bondi walk, Wattamolla Beach & Falls, the Wanaka to Franz Josef drive, Rotorua Redwoods Night Treewalk, kayaking in Abel Tasman National Park, the Great Barrier Reef– the list is endless.  This was a trip of a lifetime for us, but if we ever manage to travel that way again, Dianne would be the first person I would contact.

My Husband and I planned to take a trip to Australia and New Zealand to celebrate to celebrate our 60th birthdays and 35th wedding anniversary. I usually plan all our vacations however because of the length of the trip, 4 weeks, and the logistics of trying to see as much of both countries as possible I felt we needed help to make sure everything went smoothly. Fortunately I came across the Go WalkAbout website and contacted Dianne. She put together an itinerary that included most of the destinations/attractions we wanted to see in the relatively short time we had available. She gave us a very detailed itinerary ahead of time with confirmation numbers and travel tips, and arranged a Zoom call to go over everything so we were very well prepared for our trip. She responded very quickly the few times we did have a tour cancellation or a question. We had a wonderful trip! Many of our accommodations had beautiful views and access to laundry. “After starting to plan an almost month-long trip to Australia, we quickly became overwhelmed. We found the Go Walkabout website and contacted Dianne. Could she design a trip for us visiting multiple areas, accessing nature and not renting a car? No problem! We had a rough idea of where we wanted to go, and Dianne figured out internal flights (no easy task with some of the flight schedules), hotels, and recommended excursions. She managed to put together an adventure packed trip that allowed for some down time as well. All the transfers and flights worked out without issue. She was quickly responsive to emails and went over the itinerary in a pre-trip call. I was so anxious something would go wrong in this trip, but miraculously nothing did; but it greatly helped to know Dianne and her team would be available if something did go wrong.

Personal highlights for us were Sydney: the Opera house tour, watching the surfers at Manly Bay and Bondi, the Blue Mountains tour, and a whale watching tour (finally saw whales breaching!), Uluru: dinner at  Tali Wiru, seeing the best night sky ever and walking around Uluru at sunrise; Port Douglas: enjoying the beach, reef, and nature parks – seeing a Cassowary in the wild!; Melbourne: the restaurants, the film museum, and best of all the Penguin Parade at Phillip island; Great Ocean road: the wonderful ocean views; and Kangaroo Island: spotting kangaroos, koalas and seeing the sea lion colony and staying in a wonderful farm stay.”
