Hi Dianne Well, it was a trip of a lifetime. We, thoroughly enjoyed the trip to New Zealand. What a beautiful country, although, expensive as you had warned us. We both feel we saw and did more than anyone would have on a “cookie cutter” type of itinerary. On our leisure days, we had them as full with venture as if we had something booked for the day. We did a lot of walking, hiking up and down inactive volcanos, met a lot of nice people and just had a good time. We were, also, grateful to have a car as we were able to get to places we would not normally have been able to travel to, such as going to Golden Bay and have a whole day of adventure, walked in 2.0 kilometres to Wainui Falls, walking up to Rawhiti Cave, went to The Grove Scenic Reserve, went to The Waikoropupu Springs, a couple of beaches and then finishing the day with a delicious pizza at Dangerous Kitchen in Takaka. Another example was in Wanaka went to the Rob Roy Glacier which was quite a hike. Loved Wanaka and would have loved to stay one more day. Fox Glacier was amazing, I was really taken by that as I was a little worried for me. The guide was super and a good time was had as everyone else enjoyed it as well. The north was very surreal and at times it seemed as though a fairy tale was unveiling in front of us. Which truly was the case at the Hobbiton Movie Set. We enjoyed our farm stay with the Kiwi couple. They were very pleasant and we had a wonderful visit with them. Thank you for everything.
